Product FAQ
What does the hazardous location certification mean for this laboratory refrigerator?
This unit is specifically engineered and safety-compliant for installation in hazardous locations, featuring explosion-proof or spark-free internal and external construction designed to prevent the ignition of hazardous ambient gases, volatile vapors, and explosive materials across its 17 cu. ft. capacity.
What advanced temperature monitoring and control features are included?
The unit features a microprocessor temperature controller, digital display, and a comprehensive alarm suite with audible and visual high/low-temperature alerts, door ajar warnings, and remote alarm contacts. It utilizes eco-friendly hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants for optimized energy efficiency and compliance with environmental standards.
What is the warranty coverage?
It is backed by a standard parts and labor warranty, along with extended compressor coverage for long-term clinical, research, and laboratory reliability.
Shipping FAQ
How is this hazardous location laboratory refrigerator shipped?
Due to the heavy commercial weight, specialized safety construction, and sensitive internal cooling systems, this upright unit is shipped via specialized LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight, securely palletized to safeguard it against transit damage.
Do I need liftgate service?
Yes, liftgate service is mandatory unless your facility features a professional commercial loading dock capable of receiving a transport vehicle, ensuring the unit is lowered safely to ground level.
What should I inspect upon arrival?
Before signing the delivery receipt, you must thoroughly inspect the outer packaging, solid door construction, handles, and exterior panels for any indication of transit-related impact.
What are the post-delivery setup steps?
Allow the refrigerator to sit completely upright in its final installation location for at least 24 hours prior to powering it on, letting all internal compressor fluids properly settle.
