Summit Medical Healthcare Refrigerator Description:
EQTemp introduces a new series of affordable, specialty medical refrigeration solutions for healthcare facilities seeking specialized cold storage.
Model ACR1011W is an upright 9.88 cu.ft. all-refrigerator. It features a clean white exterior and a blue-accented control panel. The solid door is equipped with a self-closing mechanism to help protect stored items from being overexposed to room temperature. A factory-installed lock offers added security, and the hospital-grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug ensures a secure connection for high-traffic areas.
The Summit ACR1011W Medical Healthcare Refrigerator includes an external readout of the interior temperature and the high/low temperature. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a bottle filled with glass beads for improved accuracy. The digital temperature controls allow you to set the interior between 2 and 8ºC. An audible alarm sounds if the temperature goes out of range. We also include a pre-installed 3/8″ access port for users to add their own monitoring equipment if preferred.
The interior includes one wire shelf in the center to hold the temperature probe, as well as four additional adjustable shelves to accommodate different sizes. Internal LED lighting provides an efficient and convenient view. Automatic defrost reduces user maintenance, and an internal fan ensures robust temperature recovery after door openings.
This unit is also available certified to the NSF/ANSI 456 Vaccine Storage Standard with the upgrade of a NIST calibrated temperature readout (see model ACR1011WNSF456). Additional sizes are available, as well as more advanced cold storage equipment purpose-built for laboratory and life science storage. Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical preparation and dispatch time is **1-3 business days** when in stock; larger medical cabinets may require additional freight scheduling.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is possible. For deliveries to Melbourne, Australia, consider import duties/customs, freight access and site clearance (especially for full-height units), and verify local plug/voltage compatibility (unit is rated for 115 V AC/60 Hz).
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships boxed/palletized with protective packaging. Approx dimensions: ~135 cm H × ~61 cm W × ~72 cm D (estimate). Ensure delivery site has level surface, sufficient doorway/entry clearance including depth + door-swing, and safe handling equipment.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
If the unit arrives with visible damage or delivery is significantly delayed: document the condition (photos recommended), retain packaging and delivery receipt, then contact the supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the ACR1011W?
1. Place the unit on a firm, level surface (or approved built-in space if permitted) with proper clearance for ventilation at the rear/top.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matched to the unit’s electrical specification.
3. Set the thermostat to the target temperature (~+5 °C within the +2 °C to +8 °C range), allow the interior to stabilize (typically a few hours) before loading materials.
4. Verify that the temperature display, high/low alarm, door-open alarm, and monitoring access port are functioning correctly before normal operation.
What best practices should I follow when storing items?
• Use the provided shelving without blocking airflow or vents.
• Avoid over-packing the interior; allow space for air circulation.
• Group frequently accessed items at the front to reduce door-open time.
• Label contents clearly for traceability.
• Inspect door gasket/seal and lock regularly and keep a log of temperature and alarm events if required by your facility.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If the interior temperature moves outside the acceptable +2 °C to +8 °C range or power is lost:
• Record the event (time, temperature, items impacted).
• Move critical contents to backup cold storage if available.
• Identify root cause (e.g., door left open, power outage, sensor alarm).
• Once resolved, reset any alerts/controls and monitor until stable before resuming standard operation.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
Recommended routines include: monthly inspection of door gaskets and hinges; quarterly cleaning of condenser and ventilation paths; periodic testing of alarms and monitoring probe functionality; maintain calibration/service logs as required for auditing and compliance.
