Product FAQ
What is the ACR21WNSF456 and what is it designed for?
The ACR21WNSF456 is a compact healthcare-grade refrigerator (~1.94 cu ft / ≈ 55 L) in a 19″ (≈ 48 cm)–wide footprint. It is certified to the NSF/ANSI 456 vaccine-storage standard and designed for use in clinics, pharmacies or other healthcare settings where reliable +2 °C to +8 °C storage is required.
What temperature range and control features does it support?
The unit maintains an internal temperature range of approximately +2 °C to +8 °C. It uses a digital microprocessor controller with external display, a buffered probe for accurate stored-product monitoring, and is factory-preset (often to ~+5 °C) for vaccine storage compliance.
What alarm, security and monitoring features are included?
It includes audible and visual high/low temperature alarms, a door-ajar alert, power-failure alarm, remote alarm contacts, a pre-installed probe access port (3/8″) for external monitoring, and a factory-installed keyed lock for secure access.
What construction and usability features support its purpose?
Features include a self-closing solid door (to reduce exposure to ambient air), hospital-grade “green-dot” power cord, adjustable wire shelving (with fixed center shelf for the probe), LED interior lighting, foamed-in-place cabinet insulation, and a fully finished exterior allowing flexible use.
Shipping FAQ
What are the exterior dimensions and shipping weight?
Cabinet measures approximately 59 cm H × 48 cm W × 54 cm D (≈ 23.13″ × 18.88″ × 21.38″). Shipping weight is about 22 kg (≈ 48.5 lbs).
What are the electrical and installation requirements?
Operates on 115 V AC / 60 Hz, draws roughly 0.9 amps. Requires a dedicated grounded outlet, level installation, and proper clearance/ventilation for optimal performance.
What should be checked during unpacking and placement?
Inspect delivery packaging for any transit damage; if the unit was transported on its side, let it settle upright before powering; ensure the unit is level, maintain clearance for door swing and ventilation, and test controls & alarms prior to loading contents.
What shipping or delivery method is typical for this model?
Due to its healthcare-grade specification, shipment is commonly via pallet or small freight rather than standard parcel; ensure access for off-loading and space at installation site.
Application FAQ
Is this unit suitable for vaccine or pharmaceutical cold-chain storage?
Yes — it is purpose-built for healthcare environments requiring consistent +2 °C to +8 °C and includes features like probe access, alarms, lock and certification to support vaccine/vial storage protocols.
What best practices should be followed for daily operation?
Use a calibrated data logger or min/max thermometer at shelf-mid level, label and rotate content regularly, avoid over-packing that restricts airflow, minimize door-open time, and record internal temperature at the start of each day per facility policy.
What routine maintenance should be be performed?
Annually inspect door-gasket seal integrity; semi-annually clean condenser/ventilation paths; monthly verify alarm, probe and thermostat operation; ensure unit remains level and unobstructed for reliable, consistent performance.
What should be done in the event of a temperature excursion or alarm?
Document the time of the deviation, temperature reading and contents affected; if necessary relocate items to backup storage; investigate the root cause (door left open, blocked airflow, power issue); restore correct conditions and log the event per facility standard operating procedure (SOP).
