Summit Undercounter General Medical Freezer Description:
The Summit VT65MLPLUS2ADA Undercounter General Medical Freezer is a 24” wide all-freezer designed for freestanding use in ADA compliant settings, with a factory installed lock for added security and a digital thermostat for easy temperature management. This manual defrost unit can hold temperatures as low as -25ºC, ideal for many vaccines and laboratory items. The door includes a thermometer calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory. It displays the current, minimum, and maximum temperature to the nearest tenth degree viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The buffered temperature probe is stored in a glycol-filled bottle to ensure the temperature reading best reflects the temperature of other stored freezer contents. This model comes in a white finish and includes a hospital grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug for added security in high traffic areas. The interior features three removable storage baskets with clear plastic fronts for easy storage that stays cold, even when the door is opened.
This freezer can be paired with the auto defrost FF6LPLU2SADA for a complete matching set. For a built-in version of this model, see the VT65MLBIPLUS2ADA.
Accucold’s PLUS2 series freezers are intended for a wide variety of basic storage only. Storage of high-value vaccines, life science materials, medical, or clinical biologicals require a product with design features including, but not limited to tighter temperature controls, monitoring, and/or back-up.

Product FAQ
What is the VT65MLPLUS2ADA and what is it used for?
The VT65MLPLUS2ADA is a 3.2 cu ft (~91 L) under-counter/ADA-height all-freezer designed for medical, laboratory, or clinical facility use. It is engineered for low-temperature storage down to approximately –12 °C to –25 °C, featuring manual defrost, built-in security and monitoring features.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: 3.2 cu ft (~91 L).
• External dimensions: approx. 81 cm H × 60 cm W × 60 cm D; door-open depth approx. 114 cm (45″).
• Temperature range: approximately –12 °C to –25 °C.
• Defrost type: Manual.
• Door: Solid finished door with factory-installed keyed lock.
• Monitoring: NIST-calibrated external temperature display with current/high-low readout and buffered probe housed in glycol bottle.
• Electrical (U.S. model): 115 V AC / 60 Hz.
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Factory-installed keyed lock for secure access.
– Buffered probe with glycol bottle for accurate representation of stored item temperature.
– Magnetic door gasket, foamed in insulation and flat door liner for improved thermal stability.
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for clinics, pharmacies, medical labs and facility under-counter installations requiring compact low-temperature freezer storage capability (~–25 °C) in an ADA-compliant height format. Not intended for ultra-low (≤ –80 °C) or vaccine cold-chain without further validation.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical shipping lead time is approximately 3–5 business days when the unit is in stock and ready for dispatch.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — for delivery to Melbourne, Australia, consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: ensure doorways, elevators or corridors accommodate approx. 60 cm width × 60 cm depth and allow approx. 114 cm front clearance for door opening.
• Electrical compatibility: The U.S. model is 115 V AC / 60 Hz — for Australia’s 230 V / 50 Hz you must order the appropriate export variant or use a certified step-down transformer installed by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships boxed/palletized; unpacked footprint approx. 81 cm H × 60 cm W × 60 cm D; door-open depth approx. 114 cm. Ensure the delivery path is level, firm and unobstructed from the vehicle to installation site.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
On delivery, inspect the outer packaging and unit for visible transit damage. Photograph any damage, retain packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the VT65MLPLUS2ADA?
1. Position the unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled environment; allow clearance behind, above and approx. 114 cm front for full door swing.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the model’s variant.
3. Power on the unit, set the thermostat to approx. –12 °C to –25 °C range and allow 2–4 hours for internal temperature stabilization before loading sensitive contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this freezer?
• Load items with spacing for airflow; avoid over-packing which can hinder temperature recovery.
• Use the external display and probe rather than frequent door openings to preserve stability.
• Label stored contents (batch number, date/time) and apply first‐in/first‐out (FIFO) rotation if applicable.
• Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock regularly; ensure the unit remains level and clean interior.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature deviation and impacted contents.
• Relocate critical items to validated backup storage until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (door ajar, ambient heat load, power or sensor fault).
• Once stable at the correct temperature range, verify stored items for integrity and then resume normal usage.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Check door gasket/seal, hinges/lock; confirm unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior/exterior surfaces; verify probe/thermometer and any alarm functionality.
• Periodically: Review any temperature logs (if used), ensure calibration of monitoring equipment and maintain documented maintenance records for compliance.
