Description
ABS CRT-ABT-HC-S26G Controlled Room Temperature Cabinet
The Upright ABS CRT-ABT-HC-S26G Controlled Room Temperature Cabinet are purpose built for medical applications. These units feature a digital microprocessor temperature controller allowing for the precise temperature management necessary for medication storage at room temperature. A forced air directional refrigeration system provides superior temperature uniformity and recovery after door openings.
A controlled temperature environment will ensure approved storage; preventing time wasted on unnecessary expense and product recalls.
Environmentally friendly, natural hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants (not containing hydrofluorocarbons) vastly reduce global-warming potential (GWP) while meeting new EPA/SNAP mandates and UL, ASHRAE compliance guidelines.

Product FAQ
What is a Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) cabinet used for?
A CRT cabinet is purpose-built to maintain a precise ambient temperature range (68°F to 77°F or 20°C to 25°C). It is ideal for storing room-temperature medications, vaccines, and medical supplies that must be kept protected from external environmental fluctuations.
What are the advantages of the glass door design?
The high-visibility glass door allows personnel to conduct quick visual inventory checks without opening the door, preventing unnecessary thermal air exchange and maintaining internal temperature stability.
What temperature security features are included?
The unit features a microprocessor temperature controller, digital display, and a full alarm suite with audible and visual high/low-temperature alerts, sensor error monitoring, and remote alarm contacts. It utilizes dual probes—one in the air and one in a sample-simulated liquid bottle—along with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
Are there specific installation requirements?
Yes. This large-capacity freestanding model requires proper clearance around the back and sides to ensure optimal airflow and consistent ambient temperature regulation.
What is the warranty coverage?
It includes a one-year parts and labor warranty, plus an additional four-year compressor parts warranty for long-term operational reliability.
Shipping FAQ
How is this controlled room temperature cabinet shipped?
Due to the unit’s substantial size and sensitive internal cooling systems, this cabinet is shipped via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight, securely palletized to minimize transit movement and ensure optimal condition upon arrival.
Do I need liftgate service?
Yes, liftgate service is mandatory unless your facility features a professional loading dock capable of receiving an 18-wheeler, as the unit must be safely lowered to ground level.
What should I inspect upon arrival?
Before signing the delivery receipt, you must perform a thorough inspection of the glass door, exterior panels, door seals, and refrigeration housing for any transit-related damage.
What are the post-delivery setup steps?
To prevent compressor damage and ensure stable ambient temperature regulation, allow the unit to sit upright in its final installation location for at least 24 hours to let all fluids settle before powering it on.
