Description
ABS CRT-ABT-HC-S49G Controlled Room Temperature Cabinet
The Upright ABS CRT-ABT-HC-S49G Controlled Room Temperature Cabinet are purpose built for medical applications. These units feature a digital microprocessor temperature controller allowing for the precise temperature management necessary for medication storage at room temperature. A forced air directional refrigeration system provides superior temperature uniformity and recovery after door openings.
A controlled temperature environment will ensure approved storage; preventing time wasted on unnecessary expense and product recalls.
Environmentally friendly, natural hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants (not containing hydrofluorocarbons) vastly reduce global-warming potential (GWP) while meeting new EPA/SNAP mandates and UL, ASHRAE compliance guidelines.

Product FAQ
What is a Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) cabinet used for?
A CRT cabinet is purpose-built to maintain a precise ambient temperature range (68°F to 77°F or 20°C to 25°C). It is ideal for storing massive institutional volumes of room-temperature medications, vaccines, and medical supplies that must be kept protected from external environmental fluctuations.
What are the advantages of the dual glass door design?
The high-visibility glass doors allow personnel to conduct quick visual inventory checks across the massive dual-section storage volume without opening the doors, minimizing thermal air exchange and preserving temperature uniformity.
What temperature security features are included?
The unit features a digital microprocessor controller, a digital display, and a comprehensive alarm package including audible and visual high/low-temperature alerts, sensor error warnings, and remote alarm contacts. It utilizes dual probes—one in the air and one in a sample-simulated liquid bottle—along with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
Are there specific installation requirements?
Yes. Due to the extra-large capacity and commercial scale of this dual-door model, it requires adequate clearance around the back and sides to ensure optimal airflow and consistent ambient temperature regulation.
What is the warranty coverage?
It includes a standard one-year parts and labor warranty, plus an additional four-year compressor parts warranty for long-term operational reliability.
Shipping FAQ
How is this controlled room temperature cabinet shipped?
Due to the heavy commercial weight, dual-door width, and sensitive internal electronics of this large-capacity unit, it is shipped via specialized LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight, securely palletized to minimize movement and ensure safe arrival.
Do I need liftgate service?
Yes, liftgate service is mandatory unless your facility features a professional commercial loading dock capable of receiving an 18-wheeler, as this large unit must be carefully lowered to ground level.
What should I inspect upon arrival?
Before signing the delivery receipt, you must perform a comprehensive inspection of the glass doors, exterior panels, door seals, and refrigeration housing for any signs of transit-related damage.
What are the post-delivery setup steps?
To prevent compressor damage and ensure stable ambient temperature regulation, allow the unit to sit upright in its final installation location for at least 24 hours to let all fluids settle before powering it on.
