Summit Medical Vaccine Healthcare Refrigerator Description:
EQTemp by Accucold introduces a new series of affordable, specialty refrigeration solutions for healthcare facilities seeking specialized cold storage.
Summit ACR1601WLHD Medical Vaccine Healthcare Refrigerator is an upright 15.53 cu.ft. all-refrigerator. It features a clean white exterior and a blue-accented control panel. The solid door is equipped with a self-closing mechanism to help protect stored items from being overexposed to room temperature. A factory-installed lock offers added security, and the hospital-grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug ensures a secure connection for high-traffic areas.
The Summit ACR1601WLHD Medical Vaccine Healthcare Refrigerator includes an external readout of the interior temperature and the high/low temperature. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a bottle filled with glass beads for improved accuracy. The digital temperature controls allow you to set the interior between 2 and 8ºC. An audible alarm sounds if the temperature goes out of range. We also include a pre-installed 3/8″ access port for users to add their own monitoring equipment if preferred.
The interior includes one wire shelf in the center to hold the temperature probe, as well as four additional adjustable shelves to accommodate different sizes. Internal LED lighting provides an efficient and convenient view. Automatic defrost reduces user maintenance, and an internal fan ensures robust temperature recovery after door openings.
This unit ships with a left-hand door swing. This unit is also available certified to the NSF/ANSI 456 Vaccine Storage Standard with the upgrade of a NIST calibrated temperature readout (see model ACR1601WNSF456). Additional sizes are available, as well as more advanced cold storage equipment purpose-built for laboratory and life science storage. Product FAQ
What is the ACR1601WLHD and what is it used for?
The ACR1601WLHD is a full-height (~15.53 cu ft / ~440 L) upright healthcare-grade refrigerator built for clinics, pharmacies or healthcare facilities requiring controlled +2 °C to +8 °C cold-storage.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Height: ~195 cm (76.75″)
• Width: ~59 cm (23.38″)
• Depth: ~71 cm (28.0″)
• Capacity: ~440 L (~15.53 cu ft)
• Temperature range: +2 °C to +8 °C (preset ~+5 °C)
• Key features: solid self-closing door, hospital-grade “green-dot” plug, factory-installed lock, external read-out, buffered temperature probe.
What safety and monitoring features are included?
The unit includes an external digital read-out of the interior temperature (current + high/low), a buffered probe (glass-bead bottle) to simulate product temperature, a 3/8″ access port for external monitoring, audible alarms for out-of-range or door-open conditions, factory-installed keyed lock, and a hospital-grade plug system.
Where is this refrigerator best suited?
Ideal for hospital pharmacy rooms, vaccine storage rooms, clinical labs or healthcare facilities needing full-height controlled-temperature storage. It is not intended for general food, break-room or domestic use.
What warranty coverage is provided?
Standard manufacturer warranty: 1 year parts & labor; compressor coverage varies (often 5 years) — check with supplier.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical preparation and dispatch time is 1-3 business days if in stock, although large-cabinet units may require additional freight scheduling.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international freight can be arranged. For Melbourne, Australia or comparable locations, consider import duties/customs, site access for large-cabinet delivery, sufficient door/entry clearance, and verify local electrical compatibility (unit rated for 115 V AC/60 Hz by default).
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
Ships boxed or palletized with protective packaging. With a height of ~195 cm, width ~59 cm and depth ~71 cm (plus door clearance), the delivery site must have a level floor, sufficient doorway/clearance for width and depth, and safe handling equipment.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
If the unit arrives with visible damage or the delivery is significantly delayed: photograph the condition, retain the packaging and delivery receipt, and contact the supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the ACR1601WLHD?
Place the unit on a firm, level surface (or built-in area if allowed) with required ventilation clearance. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet (115 V AC/60 Hz or compatible local supply). Set the thermostat to target approximately +5 °C (within the +2 °C to +8 °C range) and allow the interior to stabilize before loading items. Then verify alarm, lock and monitoring-port function.
What best practices should I follow when storing items?
Use the adjustable shelving without blocking airflow; avoid over-packing; minimize door openings; label stored items for traceability; inspect door gasket and seal regularly; maintain temperature and alarm logs if required by facility protocol.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
In case the internal temperature moves outside +2 °C to +8 °C or a power interruption occurs: record the event (time, temperature reading, affected items); transfer critical contents to backup cold storage if needed; identify cause (door ajar, power fault, sensor issue); once resolved, reset controls and monitor until stable before returning usage.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
Recommended routines: monthly inspection of door seals/gasket and hinges; quarterly cleaning of condenser and ventilation pathways; periodic testing of alarms, external monitoring ports and probe devices; maintain service or calibration logs for audit readiness.
