Summit General Purpose Refrigerator Freezer Description:
Accucold’s general purpose refrigeration series offers cold storage solutions to meet a variety of facility needs.
The Summit AGP34RFLCAL General Purpose Refrigerator Freezer is a two-door counter height refrigerator-freezer in a slim 19 inch footprint, ideal for offices and institutions with limited floor space. A factory-installed lock secures both sections with a user-set combination, with two keys included to override the combination if needed. The lower refrigerator compartment is designed to operate between 2 and 8ºC, with a digital thermostat that allows you to control the temperature without opening the door. We include an alarm/thermometer that users can easily install to monitor the refrigerator temperature. This temperature monitoring device is calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified calibration laboratory and ships with a 2-year certificate for your records. The thermometer displays the current and high/low temperatures to the nearest tenth of a degree in a readout switchable from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The temperature probe is encased in a glycol-filled bottle to help simulate the temperature of stored materials, rather than the refrigerator air temperature. An audible alarm warns if the unit has gone out of the recommended range.
Inside the refrigerator section, the Summit AGP34RFLCAL General Purpose Refrigerator Freezer features fan-forced cooling to for even temperature distribution, with adjustable wire shelves to help promote proper circulation. Door racks are included to hold non-temperature sensitive items. The refrigerator utilizes automatic defrost to reduce user maintenance, while the upper freezer compartment comes with a static manual defrost system. The freezer also includes door storage. It is best suited for storing ice packs and other items without strict temperature requirements. (NOTE: the freezer temperature is based off the refrigerator setting and cannot be adjusted independently.) Additional features include a user-reversible door swing, sealed back for easier cleaning, and interior refrigerator light.
With its slim fit and user-friendly design, the AGP34RFLCAL is a smart solution for facilities seeking an upgraded general purpose refrigerator-freezer. For more advanced temperature uniformity, explore Accucold’s purpose built series, including stacked refrigerator-freezer combinations with independent cooling systems.
*NOTE: This unit’s thermostat is pre-set for Celsius. If you prefer Fahrenheit, add complimentary option DTMEDF or let your sales representative know upon order.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical lead time is the manufacturer’s estimate of 7-10 days (when in stock) for this unit.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — the unit can be shipped internationally. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia you should consider:
• Import duties & customs clearance including GST.
• Site access: ensure doorway width, corridor/elevator clearance and floor-loading capacity for a palletized unit.
• Electrical/mains compatibility: This model is specified for **115 V AC/60 Hz** (US specification) — for Australia (230 V/50 Hz) you must verify the correct variant is ordered or a suitable transformer/voltage converter is available.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized with protective packaging. Approx. unpacked footprint: ~84 cm H × ~48 cm W × ~50 cm D; allow depth for door-open clearance (~93 cm). Ensure your delivery site has a firm, level surface, sufficient entry/door clearance and handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack) if required.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
Upon delivery inspect the packaging and unit for visible damage or transit delay. If damage is found: document via photographs, retain packaging and delivery receipt, then contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the AGP34RFLCAL?
1. Position the unit upright on a firm, level surface in a climate-controlled indoor environment; provide clearance behind and above per manufacturer instructions.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the unit’s specification (115 V AC/60 Hz) — if installing in Melbourne or Australia, verify correct variant or arrange appropriate transformer/plug adaptor.
3. Plug in and power on the unit, set the digital thermostat for the refrigerator compartment (2–8 °C) and allow several hours for internal temperature stabilization before loading contents.
4. Confirm that the door seal, combination lock, shelving, internal light and airflow are functioning correctly.
What best practices should I follow when using this combo refrigerator-freezer?
• Use the refrigerator compartment (lower) for items that require 2–8 °C, and the upper freezer compartment for less-critical frozen items or ice-packs (since the freezer temperature is dependent on the refrigerator section).
• Label stored items (e.g., date, content) for traceability and rotate stock as needed.
• Avoid over-packing the interior and blocking airflow; allow clearance around shelving for uniform cooling.
• Minimize door opening time and ensure the door is properly closed after access to maintain stable internal temperature.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If the interior temperature rises above or falls below the desired range, or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature, impacted contents.
• Relocate critical items to validated backup refrigeration if required.
• Investigate the root cause (for example: door left open, ambient heat load, sensor/power fault).
• After the unit returns to stable operating temperature, verify contents are safe before returning them to storage.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/handle, lock mechanism, and ensure unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean condenser (if accessible), ventilation paths and ensure fan (in refrigerator section) is functioning properly; remove any dust or blockages.
• Periodically: Test the digital control, alarms (if fitted), and maintain internal records of temperature minima/maxima and any alarm events (especially in clinical/office settings).
