Summit Undercounter Medical Refrigerator Description:
The Summit FF6LWBIPLUS2 Undercounter Medical Refrigerator is an all-refrigerator sized at just under 24″ wide. Made in Europe, it comes in a white exterior finish with a keyed lock located towards the top of the door for convenient security. The front-breathing system allows built-in installation under counters, while the fully finished cabinet also enables freestanding use. A digital thermostat is located in the kickplate for easy and precise temperature management.
The unit uses automatic defrost operation and includes an internal fan for stabilized cooling. Adjustable wire shelves offer flexible storage inside the 5.5 cu.ft. interior, with door racks and an automatic light included. The FF6LWBIPLUS2 includes a thermometer calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory. It displays the current, minimum, and maximum temperature to the nearest tenth degree viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The buffered temperature probe is stored in a glycol-filled bottle to ensure the temperature reading best reflects the temperature of other stored refrigerator contents.
The Summit FF6LWBIPLUS2 Undercounter Medical Refrigerator can be further customized with a variety of options, including data loggers, alarms, and more. Contact our sales team for more information.
Accucold’s PLUS2 series refrigerators are intended for a wide variety of basic storage only. Storage of high-value vaccines, life science materials, medical, or clinical biologicals require a product with design features including, but not limited to tighter temperature controls, monitoring, and/or back-up.
*NOTE: This unit’s thermostat is pre-set for Celsius. If you prefer Fahrenheit, add complimentary option DTMEDF or let your sales representative know upon order.

Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the FF6LWBIPLUS2?
1. Place the refrigerator under a counter or on a flat, level surface in a climate-controlled environment.
2. Allow proper ventilation clearance behind and above, with at least 117 cm in front for full door opening.

4. Power on, set the thermostat to +2 °C to +8 °C, and allow 3–4 hours for temperature stabilization before loading contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this refrigerator?
• Maintain adequate spacing between items to promote airflow.
• Clearly label and rotate stored materials (FIFO method).
• Limit door openings to preserve temperature stability.
• Regularly clean interior/exterior surfaces and inspect gaskets, hinges, and locks.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If the temperature moves outside the +2 °C to +8 °C range or power is lost:
• Record the time, temperature deviation, and affected items.
• Move critical items to validated backup storage.
• Identify and correct the root cause (e.g., open door, power outage, sensor fault).
• Once the temperature returns to range, verify item integrity before resuming normal use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect seals, hinges, and levelling; clean surfaces.
• Quarterly: Verify thermostat accuracy, alarm function, and probe calibration.
• Periodically: Review temperature logs, confirm monitoring device calibration, and document maintenance for compliance.
