Summit Medical Refrigerator Freezer Description:
Accucold offers innovative solutions to vaccine storage with the STACKMED2 stackable refrigerator-freezer combination series.
Sized just under 24″ wide, the Summit FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2 Medical Refrigerator Freezer combines our popular FF7LWBIMED2 auto defrost all-refrigerator with the VT65MLBIMED2 all-freezer in one slim footprint. Made in Europe, the FF7LWBIMED2 offers 5.5 cu.ft. of storage, with fan-forced cooling and adjustable wire shelves to ensure an even temperature distribution. Model VT65MLBIMED2 is a low temperature all-freezer complete with interior drawers to ensure stored items are protected from ambient temperature when the door is open.
Summit FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2 Medical Refrigerator Freezer feature front-located control panels equipped with digital thermostats and NIST calibrated thermometers with high/low temperature alarms. Calibration is done in our ISO/IEC certified laboratory. The buffered temperature probes are encased in a glycol-filled bottle and secured inside the center shelf to best simulate the temperature of other stored contents, resulting in the utmost accuracy for temperature reporting. We include a pre-installed 3/8″ probe hole for users who wish to install additional monitoring equipment in the rear of both units. Additional features include front locks and hospital grade cords. Products in the MED2 series come with a two year warranty on parts and labor and a five year warranty on the compressor.
Summit FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2 Medical Refrigerator Freezer units ship in three boxes and require some minor assembly upon delivery. Additional stacked combinations can be created by ordering virtually any two units with our StackRack. These units can also be customized with a variety of refrigeration options, including NIST calibrated thermometers, USB data loggers, open door alarms, and much more. Product FAQ
What is the FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2 and what is it used for?
The FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2 is a 9.0 cu ft (~255 L) stacked medical refrigerator–freezer combination designed for clinical, pharmacy, or lab settings. It offers a dedicated +2 °C to +8 °C refrigeration section and a -30 °C to -20 °C freezer section in a compact ~61 cm wide footprint.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Total external dimensions: approx 178 cm H × 61 cm W × 60 cm D; door-open depth ~116 cm.
• Capacity: Refrigerator section ~5.5 cu ft (~156 L); Freezer section ~3.5 cu ft (~99 L).
• Refrigerator temperature range: +2 °C to +8 °C.
• Freezer temperature range: -30 °C to -20 °C.
• Construction: White painted finish, separate locks on each compartment, digital microprocessor controllers with high/low alarms and NIST-calibrated display.
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Factory-installed keyed locks on both refrigerator and freezer doors.
– High/low temperature audible alarms and remote monitoring contact ports.
– Buffered probe in glycol bottle in center shelf to simulate stored content temperature (per CDC/VFC guidelines).
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for clinics, immunization centers, pharmacies or labs that require both refrigerated and frozen storage zones in one compact unit — especially where space is limited and both +2 °C to +8 °C and sub-zero (-20 °C to -30 °C) storage are needed. Not for ultra-low (≤ -80 °C) storage unless separately validated.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Estimated lead time is approximately 5–7 business days when the unit is in stock and ready for dispatch.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne you should consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: confirm doorways/elevators/corridors accommodate approx. 61 cm width × 60 cm depth and allow front clearance ~116 cm for door-open.
• Electrical compatibility: Model rated at 115 V AC / 60 Hz (US variant) — for Australia (230 V / 50 Hz) order the correct export variant or use a certified step-down transformer installed by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships in three boxes (refrigerator, freezer and stacking rack); unpacked footprint: ~178 cm H × ~61 cm W × ~60 cm D. Ensure the delivery path is level, firm and clear of obstructions.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
On delivery inspect all packaging and the unit for visible damage. Photograph any issues, retain packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the FF7LW-VT65MLSTACKMED2?
1. Install the stacking rack base, place the refrigerator section at the bottom and the freezer section on top as per manufacturer instructions.
2. Position the assembled unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled room; allow rear and top clearance and front clearance of approx. 116 cm for door swing.
3. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching variant’s voltage.
4. Power the unit, set the refrigerator compartment to +2 °C to +8 °C and the freezer compartment to -30 °C to -20 °C; allow 4-6 hours for internal stabilization before loading sensitive contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this combination unit?
• Load the refrigerator shelves with spacing for airflow; avoid over-packing.
• Load the freezer section baskets similarly; allow airflow and avoid obstructing cooling paths.
• Minimize door-open time for both compartments; rely on the digital display and alarms for monitoring.
• Label stored items with batch number and date/time; apply first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation when applicable.
• Regularly inspect door seals, hinges, locks, and ensure the unit remains level and interior surfaces are clean.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or falls below target range or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature deviation and impacted contents.
• Relocate critical items to validated backup storage until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (door ajar, ambient load spike, power/sensor fault).
• Once stable, inspect stored items for integrity before returning to normal use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/lock mechanism; ensure unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior and exterior, check fans, door seals, control panel & alarms.
• Periodically: Review any temperature logs (if monitoring enabled), verify calibration of monitoring equipment, and maintain documented service/maintenance records for audit-compliance.
