Summit Undercounter Medical Refrigerator Description:
The Summit FF7LWPLUS2ADA Undercounter Medical Refrigerator is a commercially approved freestanding all-refrigerator sized at 32″ high and just under 24″ wide for use in settings following ADA guidelines for lower counter height. Made in Europe, it comes in a white exterior finish with a keyed lock located towards the top of the door for convenient security. A digital thermostat is located in the kickplate for easy and precise temperature management.
The Summit FF7LWPLUS2ADA Undercounter Medical Refrigerator uses automatic defrost operation and includes an internal fan for stabilized cooling. Adjustable wire shelves offer flexible storage inside the 5.5 cu.ft. interior, with a flat door liners as recommended by the CDC. The FF7LWPLUS2ADA includes a thermometer calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2005 laboratory. It displays the current, minimum, and maximum temperature to the nearest tenth degree viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The buffered temperature probe is stored in a glycol-filled bottle to ensure the temperature reading best reflects the temperature of other stored freezer contents.
The Summit FF7LWPLUS2ADA Undercounter Medical Refrigerator is ETL-S listed to NSF-7 commercial standards. It can be further customized with a variety of options, including data loggers, alarms, and more. Contact our sales team for more information.
Accucold’s PLUS2 series refrigerators are intended for a wide variety of basic storage only. Storage of high-value vaccines, life science materials, medical, or clinical biologicals require a product with design features including, but not limited to tighter temperature controls, monitoring, and/or back-up.
*NOTE: This unit’s thermostat is pre-set for Celsius. If you prefer Fahrenheit, add complimentary option DTMEDF or let your sales representative know upon order.

Product FAQ
What is the FF7LWPLUS2ADA and what is it used for?
The FF7LWPLUS2ADA is a 5.5 cu ft (~156 L) under-counter, ADA-compliant medical-grade refrigerator designed for clinics, laboratories, and medical storage where a lower countertop height is required. It maintains a stable +2 °C to +8 °C refrigeration range and offers features for temperature monitoring and secure access.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: 5.5 cu ft (~156 L)
• External dimensions: Height ~81 cm, Width ~60 cm, Depth ~60 cm; door-open depth approx. 115 cm
• Temperature range: +2 °C to +8 °C
• Defrost type: Automatic
• Interior: Adjustable wire shelves (3) and interior lighting
• Security/monitoring: Factory-installed keyed lock; digital thermostat; buffered probe temperature display (Celsius/Fahrenheit)
• Electrical: 115 V AC / 60 Hz; approx. 1.4 amps
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Keyed door lock to restrict access
– Digital thermometer display showing current, high and low temperatures
– Magnetic door gasket and foamed-in insulation for consistent internal conditions
– Flat door liner and easy-clean surfaces to support hygiene in medical environments
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for medical offices, pharmacy counters, laboratory satellite rooms or under-bench installations in healthcare settings where compact +2 °C to +8 °C refrigeration is required. Not designed for ultra-low (≤ –20 °C) or freezer storage applications unless separately validated.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Estimated lead time is approximately 5–7 business days when the unit is in stock.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia you should consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance, and GST.
• Site access: confirm doorway/elevator clearance at least ~60 cm width × ~60 cm depth and allow ~115 cm front clearance for full door swing.
• Electrical compatibility: Standard model is 115 V AC / 60 Hz—if installing in Australia (230 V / 50 Hz) order correct variant or use certified step-down transformer by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships boxed and palletized; unpacked footprint approximately 81 cm high × 60 cm wide × 60 cm deep; door-open depth ~115 cm. Ensure a level, clear path from delivery vehicle to installation site.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
On delivery inspect the outer packaging and unit for visible damage. Photograph any damage, retain packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to start a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the FF7LWPLUS2ADA?
1. Place the unit under-bench or on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled space; allow clearance behind and above the unit and approx. 115 cm front clearance for door operation.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded electrical outlet matching the unit’s voltage specification.
3. Power on, set the digital controller to between +2 °C and +8 °C, and allow approx. 4 hours for the interior to stabilize before loading temperature-sensitive contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this refrigerator?
• Arrange stored items on the wire shelves with spacing for airflow; avoid over-packing which may reduce cooling efficiency.
• Label contents with batch number and date/time, and apply first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation when applicable.
• Minimize door-opening events; rely on the monitoring display and alarms rather than frequent access.
• Regularly inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock mechanism; verify the unit remains level and interior surfaces are clean.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or drops below the +2 °C to +8 °C range or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature deviation and impacted contents.
• Transfer critical contents to validated backup refrigeration until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (door left open, ambient load spike, power/sensor fault).
• Once unit returns to stable condition and temperatures are within target range, inspect stored items for integrity before resuming normal use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/lock; ensure unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior and exterior surfaces; verify thermostat and alarm functions.
• Periodically: Review logged temperature data (if monitoring installed), confirm calibration of any external probes/monitoring devices and maintain documented service records for compliance.
