Summit Commercial Stainless Steel Medical Freezer Description:
Summit Commercial’s line of reach-in refrigeration features durable construction built to NSF-7 commercial standards.
Made in South Korea, the Summit SCFF237 Commercial Stainless Steel Medical Freezer is a commercial all-freezer with a complete stainless steel cabinet. The stainless steel door features a self-closing design to help protect stored contents in busy commercial settings where customers may not take the time to make sure the door is closed. It will remain open when pushed to 90º, making it easier to load and unload the unit. The sealed back design helps to simplify cleanup. This unit features a factory-installed lock located towards the top of the door for convenient security. We include a set of locking casters for optional installation.
The Summit SCFF237 Commercial Stainless Steel Medical Freezer features a large 23 cu.ft. interior constructed from stainless steel for easy cleanup and lasting durability. The cantilevered shelving system allows you to adjust the four vinyl-coated shelves to virtually any position, making it easy to accommodate any sized item. This unit is designed to fit common commercial baking trays. The LED lighting offers an energy efficient display when the door is opened. This unit utilizes adjustable cycle defrost operation to avoid temperature spikes, with a top-mounted forced air cooling system to ensure rapid temperature recovery.
To ensure optimum storage conditions, the SCFF237 is equipped with a microprocessor temperature controller that makes it easy for staff to adjust the temperature. The large digital LED readout displays the current and high/low temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit. An audible and visual temperature alarm sounds if the unit rises or falls above a user-set range. Additional alarms include a power failure alert, door open alarm, and a condenser cleaning reminder.
Designed with hydrocarbon refrigerant, the SCFF237 provides an energy efficient solution to large capacity storage. It is ETL-S listed to NSF-7 commercial standards. For a matching refrigerator, see the SCRR232.

Product FAQ
What is the SCFF237 and what is it used for?
The SCFF237 is a 23 cu ft (~651 L) commercial reach-in all-freezer in full stainless-steel construction, purpose-built for facility, lab or clinic storage applications where large-volume frozen inventory needs robust, reliable cold-storage with professional features.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: 23 cu ft (~651 L).
• External dimensions: Height ~213 cm, Width ~70 cm, Depth ~79 cm; door-open depth ~144 cm.
• Defrost type: Frost-free/automatic cycle.
• Construction: Full stainless-steel interior and exterior for hygiene and durability.
• Cooling: Forced-air fan-cooled; supports wide temperature range (approx -23 to -4 °C / -10 to 25 °F).
• Shelving: 4 adjustable wire shelves.
• Monitoring & alarms: Digital thermostat, external LED read-out, door-open alarm, temperature deviation alarm, condenser cleaning alarm.
• Security: Factory-installed keyed lock; factory-installed casters (2 locking).
• Electrical (U.S. version): 115 V AC / 60 Hz; approx 8 amps.
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Self-closing door that will stay open at 90° for easy loading.
– Audible/visual alarms for door-left-open, high/low temperature excursions, and condenser cleaning alert.
– Full stainless-steel cabinet/resistive to corrosion in busy environments.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Standard lead time is approximately 1–2 business days (when in stock) as indicated by the manufacturer.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne you should consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: verify that doorways, freight lifts or corridors accommodate approx. 70 cm width × 79 cm depth and allow approx. 144 cm front clearance for door-open.
• Electrical compatibility: The standard U.S. model is 115 V AC / 60 Hz — for Australia (230 V / 50 Hz) you must order the correct export variant or use a certified step-down transformer installed by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized with casters installed/uninstalled; unpacked footprint about ~213 cm H × ~70 cm W × ~79 cm D; allow delivery path to be level, firm and free from obstructions. Front clearance for door swing must be accounted for (~144 cm).
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
On delivery inspect the outer packaging and the unit for visible damage. Photograph any issues, retain the packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the SCFF237?
1. Position the unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled area; allow clearance behind, above and front (approx. 144 cm) for full door operation.
2. Connect the unit to a dedicated grounded outlet rated appropriately; verify voltage matches export variant.
3. Power on the unit, set the digital controller, allow several hours for internal temperature stabilization before loading inventory.
What best practices should I follow when using this freezer?
• Load items evenly across the wire shelves; allow airflow around inventory to prevent cold spots.
• Minimize door-open events; rely on digital read-out and alarms for monitoring.
• Label contents with date/time, move stock using FIFO logic if applicable.
• Regularly check door gasket/seal, hinge/lock mechanism and lock operation; ensure unit remains level and interior is cleaned.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
• Record the event (date/time, observed temperature deviation, impacted contents).
• Transfer critical items to validated backup freezer storage until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (door left open, high ambient load, power/sensor fault).
• Once the unit is stable, inspect stored contents for integrity before returning to standard use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges, lock; confirm the unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior and exterior surfaces; inspect condenser/ventilation pathways and all alarms/monitoring systems.
• Periodically: Review logged high/low temperature data (if available), verify calibration of monitoring equipment, and maintain documented maintenance/service records for audit purposes.
