Summit Undercounter Nutritional Refrigerator Description:
Accucold’s Nutrition Center Series features commercially approved refrigerators and freezers specifically designed for the storage of sealed food and beverages in a variety of facilities, including break rooms, waiting areas, nurses’ stations, and more.
Made in Europe, the Summit SCR600BGLNZ Undercounter Nutritional Refrigerator is a counter height display refrigerator sized with a convenient 24″ footprint. It is ETL-S listed to NSF-7 standards for the storage of sealed food and beverages. The kickplate features a factory installed digital thermometer that provides a continuous external display of the current and minimum/maximum temperature to the nearest tenth of a degree, making it easier for staff to monitor and record the temperature as needed. This device includes a built-in audible alarm that will sound if the unit rises or falls out of the set temperature range. The temperature probe is encased in a glycol-filled bottle to best simulate the temperature of stored contents. All temperature display devices are calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory and include a certificate of calibration.
Inside, the Summit SCR600BGLNZ Undercounter Nutritional Refrigerator utilizes low maintenance automatic defrost operation with a hidden evaporator and cold wall design. Adjustable glass shelves allow users to reconfigure the interior to accommodate a variety of sizes. This unit has an interior dial thermostat and light with an on/off rocker switch.
The Summit SCR600BGLNZ Undercounter Nutritional Refrigerator comes in a black cabinet with a double pane tempered glass door and user-reversible door swing. A factory installed front lock is located towards the top of the door for convenient security. This unit is designed for freestanding use. For a built-in version, see the SCR600BGLBINZ.
Designed specifically for institutional food and beverage storage, all Accucold’s Nutrition Centers are commercially approved to NSF standards and comply with most JCAHO recommendations for safe storage. Additional sizes and variations are available.

Product FAQ
What is the SCR600BGLNZ and what is it used for?
The SCR600BGLNZ is a 5.5 cu ft (~156 L) under-counter/nutritional-commercial refrigerator with a 24″ (≈60 cm) width, designed for food, beverage or sealed-item cold storage in commercial or medical settings. It features a glass door and external NIST-calibrated temperature display with audible high/low alarm for monitoring.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: 5.5 cu ft (~156 L).
• External dimensions: ~85 cm H × ~60 cm W × ~60 cm D; door-open depth ~117 cm.
• Temperature control: Internal dial thermostat; front-mounted NIST-calibrated thermometer display (C/°F switchable).
• Defrost type: Automatic.
• Shelves: 4 adjustable glass shelves.
• Door: Single hinged, double-pane tempered glass, reversible swing, factory-installed lock.
• Refrigerant: R600a hydrocarbon; power: 115 V AC / 60 Hz (U.S. version).
• Certification: ETL-S listed to NSF-7 for commercial use.
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– NIST-calibrated external thermometer with audible high/low alarm for easier monitoring in regulated environments.
– Factory-installed keyed lock to restrict access.
– Double-pane tempered glass door for visibility and durability.
– Automatic defrost and forced-air interior fan for consistent temperature distribution.
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for medical nutrition rooms, staff break-areas in clinics, pharmacy ancillary storage, and commercial beverage stations where sealed-item cold storage is needed in a compact footprint with clear visibility. Not intended for ultra-low temperature (≤ –20 °C) or regulated vaccine cold-chain unless validated separately.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical shipping lead time is 5–7 days when the unit is in stock and ready for dispatch.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia consider:
• Import duties, customs and GST.
• Site access: ensure pathways (doorways/elevators/corridors) can accommodate ~60 cm width × ~60 cm depth and allow ~117 cm front clearance for full door opening.
• Electrical compatibility: The U.S. version is rated 115 V AC / 60 Hz — for Australia (230 V / 50 Hz) you should order the correct export variant or use a certified step-down transformer installed by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
Ships boxed and palletized; unpacked footprint: ~85 cm H × ~60 cm W × ~60 cm D; door-open depth ~117 cm. Ensure the delivery path is level, firm and clear from vehicle to installation site.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
Inspect the outer packaging and unit upon delivery for visible damage. Photograph any issues, retain packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the SCR600BGLNZ?
1. Place the unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled room; allow adequate clearance behind, above and about ~117 cm in front for door opening.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching your ordered variant (115 V AC / 60 Hz U.S. version or correct export variant for Australia).
3. Power on the unit, allow a few hours (typically 2–4 hours) for internal temperature stabilization before loading sealed contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this refrigerator?
• Place items on adjustable glass shelves with space around for airflow; avoid overcrowding which can impede cooling.
• Label stored items (batch number, date/time) and apply first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation where applicable.
• Minimize door-open duration; rely on the external display/alert rather than frequent door checks.
• Regularly inspect the door gasket/seal, hinges and lock mechanism; keep the unit level and interior surfaces clean.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If the internal temperature rises above or falls below safe levels or a power interruption occurs:
• Record date/time, observed temperature and impacted contents.
• Move critical sealed items to validated backup cold storage until the unit stabilizes.
• Investigate root cause (door left open, ambient heat load, power/sensor fault).
• Once temperature is stable, verify contents for integrity before resuming normal use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock; ensure the unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior/exterior surfaces, check airflow and verify thermometer/alarm function.
• Periodically: Record or export high/low temperature histories if applicable; ensure calibration remains valid and maintain maintenance/service records for audit compliance.
