Summit Commercial Reach-In Refrigerator Description:
Summit Commercial’s line of reach-in refrigeration features durable construction built to NSF-7 commercial standards.
Made in South Korea, the Summit SCRR232 Commercial 23 cu.ft. Reach-In Refrigerator is a commercial all-refrigerator with a complete stainless steel cabinet. The stainless steel door features a self-closing design to help protect stored contents in busy commercial settings where customers may not take the time to make sure the door is closed. It will remain open when pushed to 90º, making it easier to load and unload the unit. The sealed back design helps to simplify cleanup. This unit features a factory-installed lock located towards the top of the door for convenient security. We include a set of locking casters for optional installation.
The Summit SCRR232 Commercial 23 cu.ft. Reach-In Refrigerator features a large 23 cu.ft. interior constructed from stainless steel for easy cleanup and lasting durability. The cantilevered shelving system allows you to adjust the four vinyl-coated shelves to virtually any position, making it easy to accommodate any sized item. This unit is designed to fit common commercial baking trays. The LED lighting offers an energy efficient display when the door is opened. This unit utilizes adjustable cycle defrost operation to avoid temperature spikes, with a top-mounted forced air cooling system to ensure rapid temperature recovery.
To ensure optimum storage conditions, the SCRR232 is equipped with a microprocessor temperature controller that makes it easy for staff to adjust the temperature. The large digital LED readout displays the current and high/low temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit. An audible and visual temperature alarm sounds if the unit rises or falls above a user-set range. Additional alarms include a power failure alert, door open alarm, and a condenser cleaning reminder.
Designed with hydrocarbon refrigerant, the SCRR232 provides an energy efficient solution to large capacity storage. It is ETL-S listed to NSF-7 commercial standards. For a matching frost-free freezer, see the SCFF237. A glass door refrigerator version is also available (model SCR23SSG).

Product FAQ
What is the SCRR232 and what is it used for?
The SCRR232 is a commercial-grade 23 cu ft (~651 L) stainless steel reach-in refrigerator designed for heavy-use environments such as commercial kitchens, clinics or service zones where durable cold storage is required.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: ~23 cu ft (~651 L)
• Dimensions: Height ~213 cm (~83.75″), Width ~70 cm (~27.5″), Depth ~79 cm (~31″); Door-open depth ~144 cm (~56.5″)
• Defrost type: Automatic cycle defrost
• Construction: Full stainless steel interior & exterior
• Electrical: 115 V AC / 60 Hz; approx. 7.5 Amps
What safety and monitoring features are included?
Features include forced-air cooling for rapid recovery, self-closing door (which holds open at 90° for loading), open-door alarm, high/low temperature alarm, digital LED controls with min/max display, factory-installed lock, and sealed back design for easier cleaning.
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for high-traffic commercial kitchens, clinic service/storage zones or hospitality settings requiring rugged, large-volume refrigeration. Not specifically configured for ultra-low-temperature biological or vaccine storage unless validated for such use.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Shipping lead time depends on stock availability and destination; dispatch when in stock is often within a few business days.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping can be arranged. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia you should consider:
• Import duties and customs clearance, including Goods & Services Tax (GST)
• Site access: doorway width, corridor/elevator clearance, and floor-loading capacity for a palletized unit (~128 kg)
• Electrical compatibility: The model is specified for 115 V AC/60 Hz (US specification) — if installing in Australia (230 V/50 Hz), verify correct variant or arrange suitable voltage conversion and plug compliance.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized with protective packaging. Approx. unpacked footprint: ~213 cm H × ~70 cm W × ~79 cm D; allow extra depth (~144 cm) for door-open clearance. Delivery site should have a firm, level surface, sufficient entry/door clearance and handling equipment (pallet jack or lift) if required.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
Upon delivery inspect the packaging and unit for visible damage or signs of transit delay. If damage is found: photograph the condition, retain the packaging and delivery receipt, then contact your supplier with your order and tracking details to initiate a freight claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the SCRR232?
1. Position the unit upright on a firm, level surface in a climate-controlled indoor space; allow clearance behind and above for ventilation and ensure door-open clearance (~144 cm) is unobstructed.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the specification (115 V AC/60 Hz). If installing in Australia, verify correct variant or use a suitable step-down transformer and plug type.
3. Plug in and power the unit; set the digital thermostat/controller to your desired refrigeration temperature (commonly +2 °C to +4 °C for typical usage) and allow several hours for internal temperature stabilization before fully loading.
4. Confirm that the self-closing door works correctly, digital controls and alarms operate properly, shelving is installed, and airflow around stored items is unobstructed.
What best practices should I follow when using this reach-in refrigerator?
• Load items in a way that maintains interior airflow—avoid over-packing and blocking shelves.
• Minimize door-open time and use the self-closing door feature to maintain stable internal temperature.
• Label items for traceability, implement first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation if relevant, and keep the interior and door gasket clean and in good condition.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or falls below the acceptable range, or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event (date/time, observed temperature, impacted contents)
• Immediately relocate critical contents to validated backup refrigeration until conditions stabilize
• Investigate the root cause (door left open, ambient heat load, sensor/power fault)
• Once the unit returns to stable internal temperature and functionality, verify contents before returning them to standard storage.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/handle/lock mechanism and ensure unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean condenser/coils (if accessible), clear ventilation paths, verify fan operation, and remove any dust or debris from vents.
• Periodically: Test control panel, alarms and display; maintain internal logs of minimum/maximum temperatures, servicing and maintenance records as required.
