Summit Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator Description:
Accucold’s Pharmaceutical Series features refrigeration specially designed to meet current CDC and VFC guidelines for vaccine storage, with built-in choices sized to fit under ADA compliant counters.
The Summit ACR45LCALSTO Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator is an all-refrigerator is sized at just under 32″ high. It features a front-breathing design for built-in installation under lower ADA compliant counters, with a fully finished cabinet that also allows freestanding use. This unit is equipped with our step-to-open door pedal, allowing users to open the door without touching the handle for more hygienic use. Its sealed back allows for a better fit and easier cleanability. A hospital grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug provides added safety in high traffic areas and a factory-installed keyed lock is located towards the top of the unit for convenient security. Four adjustable leveling legs allow you to raise the height for a better fit under standard countertops.
For optimum temperature management, the Summit ACR45LCALSTO Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator features an external control panel, allowing users to adjust and monitor the temperature without opening the door. A pre-installed NIST certified thermometer is calibrated in our own ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory to provide an external readout of the current and high/low temperatures to the nearest tenth of a degree (as recommended by the CDC and VFC). The display is switchable between Celsius or Fahrenheit at the touch of a button. The thermometer includes an audible alarm to warn users if the interior has gone out of the programmed temperature range. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a bottle filled with glass beads and secured inside the center shelf to best simulate the temperature of other stored contents, resulting in the utmost accuracy for temperature reporting. We include a pre-installed 3/8″ probe hole for users who wish to install additional monitoring equipment as needed and a certificate of calibration for your facility’s records.
Inside, the 2.65 cu.ft. interior includes two adjustable wire shelves for optimum circulation, with one center fixed shelf to keep the temperature probe in place. The foamed-in-place cabinet and door liner affords added insulation of the interior for improved temperature stability, while an internal fan helps to evenly cool the interior from top to bottom. This model utilizes frost-free operation to minimize user maintenance. LED lighting helps to provide a clean, energy efficient view.
At just under 20″ wide, the Summit ACR45LCALSTO Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator is the perfect storage solution for doctors’ offices, veterinary clinics, pharmacies, and similar healthcare environments. Additional purpose-built choices for vaccine storage are available in a variety of sizes. Browse the Accucold website to explore the full product line.
Note: Accucold’s Pharmaceutical Series refrigerators have been tested to operate within 2.5ºC of the temperature set point and are intended for a wide variety of healthcare storage applications, including vaccines, specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other medical, biological, life science, and industrial materials. At this time, Accucold refrigerators have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation between 2 and 8ºC. For units with a +/-1ºC variation, see Accucold’s Performance Series.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Estimated shipping lead-time: 5–7 days when in stock.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping can be arranged. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia you should consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance & Goods & Services Tax (GST).
• Site access & clearance: door width, corridor/elevator access, floor loading capacity.
• Electrical compatibility — this unit is specified at 115 V AC/60 Hz (U.S. version); if using in Australia (230 V/50 Hz) confirm you have the correct variant or a suitable transformer.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized and boxed with protective packaging. Approx. unpacked footprint ~80 cm H × ~50 cm W × ~63 cm D; door-open depth ~104 cm. Ensure the delivery site has a firm, level surface, sufficient entry clearance and handling equipment (pallet jack or lift) if required.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
On delivery, inspect for visible damage or signs of transit delay. If damage is found: photograph the condition, retain packaging and delivery receipt, then contact your supplier with order/tracking details to initiate a claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the ACR45LCALSTO?
1. Position the unit under a counter or on a firm, level surface in a climate-controlled room; allow clearance behind, on both sides and above for ventilation; allow full door-swing clearance (~104 cm) in front.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet rated at 115 V AC/60 Hz (for Australian use, verify correct variant or transformer).
3. Plug in and power on the unit; set target temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C. Allow several hours (typically ~4 h) for internal temperature stabilization before loading sensitive vaccines or medications.
4. Verify that the external controller/display is working, alarms (high/low temperature, door-open, power‐fault) respond correctly, the door-lock operates, and the probe access port (if used) is unobstructed before routine use.
What best practices should I follow when storing vaccines or medication?
• Use the adjustable wire shelving; avoid over-packing or blocking airflow to maintain uniform internal temperature.
• Clearly label stored items with date/time, batch or user ID to support traceability and audit requirements.
• Minimize door openings and the time the door stays open — store frequently accessed items near the front to reduce warm air intrusion.
• Regularly inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock mechanism; maintain internal logs of minimum/maximum temperature and any alarm events if your facility protocol requires it.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If the internal temperature rises above or falls below the safe range (+2 °C to +8 °C), or if a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature and impacted contents.
• Immediately relocate critical items to a validated backup refrigeration system until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (such as door left open, ambient heat load, sensor/power fault).
• Once the unit returns to normal operation and internal temperature stabilizes within the correct range, verify before returning stored contents.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock mechanism condition.
• Quarterly: Clean condenser coils and ventilation pathways; ensure fan/airflow is unobstructed and free of dust or blockage.
• Periodically: Test audible/visual alarms, external probe port and remote alarm contacts (if present); calibrate sensors if required. Keep service/calibration logs, internal temperature logs and alarm-event history for audit or regulatory readiness.
