The unit is equipped with an air sensor for rapid control response and a product sensor for a more accurate reading of the interior, including a display of the min/max temperature in 15 minute increments The audible and visual temperature alarm sounds if the unit rises or falls above a user-set range. Additional alarms include a power failure alert, door open alarm, and a condenser cleaning reminder.
Inside, the Summit ARG23MLLH Upright Pharmacy Refrigerator utilizes adjustable cycle defrost operation to avoid temperature spikes, with a top-mounted forced air cooling system to ensure rapid temperature recovery. Four vinyl-coated wire shelves on cantilevered clips allow you to accommodate virtually any sized item. The LED lighting displays automatically when the door is open, providing a full and energy efficient display.
The Summit ARG23MLLH Upright Pharmacy Refrigerator features a durable stainless steel cabinet and interior, with a sealed back for easier cleanup. The double pane tempered glass door provides a full display of the interior. We include a set of casters (2 locking) for optional installation. A factory-installed lock offers added security, with two keys included for your facility. Magnetic door gaskets ensure a strong seal. The door is self-closing to help protect contents, but will remain open at 90º for easier loading. This unit has a left hand door swing. For the same model with the door opening from the other side, see the ARS23ML.
Designed with hydrocarbon refrigerant, the ARG23MLLH provides an energy efficient solution to large capacity storage. This unit is Pyxis, Omnicell, and AcuDose RX compatible and meets NSF-7 commercial standards. For a matching frost-free freezer, see the AFS23ML.
NOTE: Accucold refrigerators are purpose-built to the support meeting the current CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for the storage of vaccines. At this time, Accucold refrigerators have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or addition of the DL2BKit accessory.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical dispatch lead time is 1–2 days (when in stock) in the U.S.; actual transit time depends on carrier and destination.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is feasible. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia consider:
• Import duties and customs clearance including Goods & Services Tax (GST)
• Site access: doorway width, corridor / elevator clearance, floor loading capacity
• Electrical compatibility: This model is rated 115 V AC/60 Hz (US version); ensure correct variant or transformer for Australia’s 230 V/50 Hz supply
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized and boxed with protective packaging. When unpacked the footprint is approximately ~213 cm H × ~70 cm W × ~79 cm D; the depth required when door is open is ~144 cm. Ensure the delivery site has a firm, level surface, sufficient entry clearance and appropriate handling equipment (pallet jack or lift).
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
Upon delivery, inspect the packaging and unit for visible damage or delay. If damage is present: photograph the condition, keep all packaging and delivery receipt, then contact your supplier with order/tracking details to initiate a claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the ARG23MLLH?
1. Position the unit upright on a firm, level surface in a climate-controlled room. Provide clearance at the rear, sides and top for ventilation and ensure the door can fully open (~144 cm depth).
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the unit’s specification (115 V AC/60 Hz). If installing in Melbourne, verify the correct variant or transformer for local supply.
3. Power on the unit; set the target temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C (typically ~5 °C). Allow sufficient hours for internal temperature stabilization (typically 3-6 hours) before loading sensitive contents.
4. Verify that the digital controller/display is functional, alarms (temp out-of-range, door-open, power fault) respond correctly, and that the keyed lock operates before routine use.
What best practices should I follow when storing vaccines or sensitive materials?
• Use the adjustable wire shelves and avoid over-filling or blocking airflow to maintain uniform internal temperature.
• Clearly label stored items with date/time, batch or user ID for traceability and audit compliance.
• Minimize door openings and time the door remains open – store high-access items near the front to reduce ambient intrusion.
• Regularly inspect door gasket/seal, hinges and lock mechanism; maintain internal logs of min/max temperature and any alarm events if your facility protocol requires it.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or falls below the safe range (+2 °C to +10 °C), or if power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature, impacted contents.
• Immediately relocate critical contents to a validated backup refrigeration source until stable conditions are restored.
• Identify and correct root cause (door left open, ambient heat load, power/sensor fault).
• Once the unit is back in normal operation and temperature stabilizes within range, verify readings before returning stored items.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges, handle/lock condition.
• Quarterly: Clean condenser coils and ventilation pathways and check fan/airflow is unobstructed and dust‐free.
• Periodically: Test audible/visual alarms, external probe port and remote contacts; maintain service/calibration logs, internal min/max temperature logs and alarm‐event history for regulatory or traceability readiness.
