Designed with hydrocarbon refrigerant, the ARS23MLLH provides an energy efficient solution to large capacity storage. This unit is Pyxis, Omnicell, and AcuDose RX compatible and meets NSF-7 commercial standards. For a matching frost-free freezer, see the ARF23ML. A glass door refrigerator version is also available (model ARG23ML).
NOTE: Accucold refrigerators are purpose-built to the support meeting the current CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for the storage of vaccines. At this time, Accucold refrigerators have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or addition of the DL2BKit accessory.

Product FAQ
What is the ARS23MLLH and what is it designed for?
The ARS23MLLH is an upright, large-capacity medical/refrigeration cabinet with around **651 L** (≈ 23 cu ft) capacity and external dimensions ~213 cm H × ~70 cm W × ~79 cm D (≈ 83.8″ × 27.5″ × 31.0″). It is purpose-built for clinical, laboratory or vaccine-storage use, intended for environments requiring stable ambient refrigeration and secure, monitored storage.
What temperature range and control features does it support?
It supports an internal temperature control range from approximately +2 °C to +10 °C.
Control features include a digital microprocessor thermostat with external LED display (readable in Celsius or Fahrenheit), a buffered probe to track stored-product temperature and a dedicated air sensor for rapid response to changes.
What alarms, monitoring and security features are included?
Includes audible and visual alarms for high/low temperature excursions, door-open status alerts, power-failure alerts, and a condenser‐clean reminder.
Also includes a factory-installed keyed lock, magnetic door gasket for tight seal, and remote alarm contact capability for facility integration.
What construction and usability features support its application?

Shipping FAQ
What are the exterior dimensions and shipping weight?
External dimensions: approximately 213 cm H × 70 cm W × 79 cm D.
Shipping weight is about 128 kg (≈ 282 lb).
What electrical and installation requirements apply?
Operates on 115 V AC / 60 Hz with current draw of about 7.5 amps.
Requires a dedicated grounded outlet, level installation surface, and adequate clearance for door swing (~144 cm when door is at 90°) and front ventilation in built-in configurations.
What steps should be taken during unpacking and placement?
Inspect the unit for any transit damage on delivery. If transported horizontally or tipped, allow upright standby for several hours before powering on.
Ensure the installation area is level, check full door‐swing clearance and ventilation path, then test the controller and alarms prior to loading contents.
What delivery or shipping method is typical for this model?
Due to its size and professional specification this unit typically ships via palletized freight.
Ensure clear off-loading access, stable staging area and that the installation site is prepped — especially important for facility installations in Melbourne-context environments.
Application FAQ
Is this unit suitable for vaccine storage or clinical ambient refrigeration applications?
Yes — the ARS23MLLH is explicitly designed for life-science, pharmacy or vaccine cold-storage tasks, supports the +2 °C to +10 °C range needed for many protocols, and includes relevant monitoring, alarm and secure-storage features.
What daily best-practice steps should be followed for operation?
Use a calibrated data logger placed at mid-height inside the unit; label and organize contents; avoid over-packing which may restrict airflow; minimize door-open time; record daily minimum and maximum internal temperature values and monitor any alarm events as part of your facility log.
What routine maintenance is recommended?
Clean the condenser and ventilation paths at least twice per year; verify alarms, probe sensors and thermostat operation monthly; inspect door gasket seal and lock annually; ensure the unit remains level and ventilation pathways remain unobstructed.
What should be done in the event of a temperature excursion or alarm?
Document the date/time of event, note the temperature deviation and any impacted contents; transfer sensitive materials to approved backup storage if needed; identify and correct the root cause (e.g., door left open, blocked ventilation, power interruption); once stable, log corrective actions according to your facility’s SOP.
