Product FAQ
What is the BKRF663B and what is it used for?
The BKRF663B is a 5.1 cu ft (~144 L) counter-height refrigerator-freezer with a 24″ (~61 cm) footprint, designed for break rooms, clinics or general-purpose cold storage in clinics and offices.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: ~5.1 cu ft (~144 L) total storage (≈4.5 cu ft fridge + 0.6 cu ft freezer)
• External dimensions: ~32.63″ H (~83 cm) × 23.63″ W (~60 cm) × 23.0″ D (~58 cm); depth with door at 90° ~45.38″ (~115 cm)
• Temperature display & alarm: Factory-installed NIST-calibrated thermometer with external read-out of high/low temps, audible alarm for major fluctuations.
• Cooling system: Dual-evaporator cooling to separately cool the fridge and freezer sections; fridge section auto-defrost, freezer manual-defrost.
• Installation: User-reversible door swing, front-breathing design for built-in or freestanding use.
• Power: 115 V AC / 60 Hz standard (U.S. version)
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Antimicrobial copper or silver-ion coated handle option (reduces germ spread)
– Reversible door for flexible installation, fully finished cabinet for freestanding or built-in use.
– External temperature display/thermometer with alarm for monitoring inside temps, especially useful in clinical or shared spaces.
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for break rooms, medical clinic staff areas, shared offices, laboratories’ ancillary spaces, and other settings requiring compact refrigeration plus freezer in a small footprint. It’s not designed for ultra-low or regulated vaccine-storage usage unless specifically specified.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical shipping lead time is about 5–7 days when in stock, plus carrier transit time.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is feasible. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: dimensions ~60 cm width × ~58 cm depth; check doorway, elevator or corridor clearance and ensure front clearance ~115 cm for door opening.
• Electrical compatibility: The standard U.S. version is 115 V/60 Hz — for Australian 230 V/50 Hz supply you must order the correct export variant or use a certified step-down transformer installed by a qualified electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
Ships boxed and palletized. Unpacked footprint ~83 cm H × ~60 cm W × ~58 cm D; plan for level, firm delivery surface and clear access from vehicle to installation location.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
On delivery inspect the outer packaging and unit for visible damage. Photograph any damage, keep the packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to start a freight claim or request replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the BKRF663B?
1. Place the unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface (freestanding) or in a built-in cabinet; allow airflow around sides/rear/top and front clearance for door swing (~115 cm).
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching your unit’s voltage rating.
3. Power on the unit and allow it to cool empty for a period (approx. 2-4 hours) until internal temperature stabilizes before loading contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this refrigerator-freezer?
• Organize items to allow airflow around the sides and back of interior compartments.
• Use the external thermometer/alarm display to monitor for internal temperature fluctuations, rather than frequent door opening.
• Label and rotate stored items; group freezer and fridge items separately.
• Regularly inspect the door seal/gasket, hinges and alignment; maintain clear space and keep unit level.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature and impacted contents.
• Move critical or sensitive contents to alternative validated storage until the unit recovers.
• Investigate the cause (door left open, ambient heat load, power/sensor fault).
• Once stable conditions resume, verify contents before returning to routine use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Check door gasket/seal condition, hinge alignment, and ensure unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior/exterior surfaces, verify ventilation clearances and test thermometer/alarm functions.
• Periodically: Verify temperature logs if any, maintain service/maintenance records, and preserve calibration/monitoring data for compliance (especially in clinical/shared spaces).
