Product FAQ
What is the FF6LW and what’s it used for?
This model is a 24″ wide under-counter or freestanding all-refrigerator offering approximately 5.5 cu ft (≈ 156 L) of capacity in a compact footprint, designed for general-purpose cold storage in institutional or medical settings.
What are the key technical specifications?
External dimensions are approximately 33.5″ H × 23.63″ W × 23.5″ D (≈ 85 cm × 60 cm × 60 cm). Features include automatic defrost, a hidden evaporator for a seamless interior, front-mounted keyed lock, three adjustable wire shelves plus door racks, and an interior light.
What safety and security features are included?
Includes a factory-installed front lock for secure access, seamless interior liner for easy cleaning, adjustable shelves to maximize airflow, and the ability to choose optional hospital-grade plug or antimicrobial handle upgrades.
Which environments is this refrigerator best suited for?
Ideal for clinics, small labs, wellness rooms, and ancillary medical storage where secure refrigeration is needed in a compact footprint rather than full cold-chain certification.
Shipping FAQ
What is the shipping weight and footprint?
The unit ships at approximately 100 lbs (≈ 45 kg) and fits a standard compact-freight footprint designed for small-institution delivery.
What power and installation requirements apply?
Operating on 115 V AC / 60 Hz, the unit draws about 0.8 amps. A dedicated grounded outlet is recommended, as well as level placement with rear ventilation clearance for consistent performance.
Are there specific unpacking or placement considerations?
Inspect the packaging on arrival for damage, allow the unit to sit upright (if transported horizontally), level it during installation, keep rear and side vents clear, and allow the door to swing freely without obstruction.
Application FAQ
Is this suitable for institutional or clinical use?
Yes—while not explicitly designed for vaccine or biologic certification, it provides secure general-purpose refrigeration in institutional settings such as wellness rooms, staff amenities, and support laboratories.
What are recommended best practices for daily use?
Avoid over-packing shelves to maintain airflow, place a min/max thermometer or data logger on one of the central shelves, label and rotate contents, minimize door-open time, and record start-of‐day temperatures as part of protocol.
What regular maintenance should be performed?
Check and clean the door gasket annually, vacuum or remove dust from the condenser area, verify thermostat accuracy and lock function, ensure the unit remains level, and schedule full cleaning when inventory rotates.
