Summit Medical Refrigerator Freezer Description:
Accucold offers innovative solutions to vaccine storage with the STACKMED2 stackable refrigerator-freezer combination series.
Sized just under 24″ wide, the Summit FF7LW-FS24LSTACKMED2 Medical Refrigerator Freezer combines our popular FF7LWBIMED2 auto defrost all-refrigerator with the compact FS24LMED2 all-freezer in one slim footprint. Made in Europe, the FF7LWBIMED2 offers 5.5 cu.ft. of storage, with fan-forced cooling and adjustable wire shelves to ensure an even temperature distribution. The FS24LMED2 freezer utilizes static manual defrost cooling.
Both units feature front-located control panels equipped with digital thermostats and NIST calibrated thermometers with high/low temperature alarms. Calibration is done in our ISO/IEC certified laboratory. The buffered temperature probes are encased in a glycol-filled bottle and secured inside the center shelf to best simulate the temperature of other stored contents, resulting in the utmost accuracy for temperature reporting. We include a pre-installed 3/8″ probe hole for users who wish to install additional monitoring equipment in the rear of both units. Additional features include front locks and hospital grade cords. Products in the MED2 series come with a two year warranty on parts and labor and a five year warranty on the compressor.
All Accucold STACKMED2 units ship in three boxes and require some minor assembly upon delivery. Additional stacked combinations can be created by ordering virtually any two units with our StackRack. These units can also be customized with a variety of refrigeration options, including NIST calibrated thermometers, USB data loggers, open door alarms, and much more. To create a custom combination, contact our sales team at 718-893-3900.
*NOTE: Thermostats come pre-set for Celsius. If you prefer Fahrenheit, add complimentary option DTMEDF or let your sales representative know upon order.

Product FAQ
What is the FF7LW-FS24LSTACKMED2 and what is it used for?
The FF7LW-FS24LSTACKMED2 is a 6.9 cu ft (~195 L) stacked refrigerator-freezer combo—combining a +2 °C to +8 °C all-refrigerator and a -20 °C to -15 °C all-freezer—designed for medical, pharmaceutical or vaccine-storage environments, particularly where separate refrigerated and frozen zones are needed in a compact footprint.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Total capacity: 6.9 cu ft (~195 L).
• Refrigerator compartment: 5.5 cu ft (~156 L), temperature range +2 °C to +8 °C, adjustable wire shelves (3) in interior height approx 67 cm, width approx 53 cm, depth approx 46 cm.
• Freezer compartment: 1.4 cu ft (~39.6 L), temperature range -20 °C to -15 °C, one wire shelf, interior dimensions approx 37 cm H × 34 cm W × 34 cm D.
• External dimensions: Height ~142 cm, Width ~61 cm, Depth ~60 cm (cabinet approx 56″ H × 24″ W × 23.5″ D).
• Electrical (U.S. version): 115 V AC / 60 Hz, approx 1.3 amps.
• Construction: White cabinet and door; digital microprocessor thermostat, front access control panel; factory-installed keyed locks; rear-mounted 3/8″ probe access port for external monitoring; meets CDC/VFC vaccine-storage guidelines.
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Factory-installed keyed locks on both refrigerator and freezer doors.
– Digital high/low temperature alarm with NIST-calibrated display for both compartments.
– Buffered temperature probes encased in glycol bottles to simulate contents temperature, supporting accurate monitoring.
– Magnetic door gaskets, foamed-in insulation, fan-assisted uniform cooling (in the fridge section).
– Anti-tip bracket for stacked installation; hospital-grade power cords.
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for clinics, immunization centers, pharmacies or medical laboratories requiring both refrigerated (+2 °C to +8 °C) and frozen (-20 °C to -15 °C) storage in a compact stacked unit. Not intended for ultra-low (≤ -80 °C) sample storage unless separately validated.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Estimated shipping lead time: approximately 5–7 business days when the unit is in stock.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia, consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: confirm doorways/elevators/corridors accommodate ~61 cm width × ~60 cm depth and allow front clearance of ~60 cm + extra for door swing (~115 cm) depending on the installation.
• Electrical compatibility: This model is rated for 115 V AC / 60 Hz (U.S. version). For Australia (230 V / 50 Hz) you must order the correct export variant or use a certified step-down transformer via a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships in multiple boxes (stacked set) ; total unpacked footprint ~142 cm H × 61 cm W × 60 cm D; ensure the delivery path is level, firm and unobstructed, and final installation clearance allows full door opening for both compartments.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
Upon delivery inspect all packaging and units for visible damage. Photograph any damage, retain packaging and the delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the FF7LW-FS24LSTACKMED2?
1. Position the stacked unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled space; allow adequate clearance behind/top and front (approx. 60 cm) for full door swing of both compartments.
2. Secure the stacking via the supplied StackRack and anti-tip bracket per assembly instructions.
3. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the unit’s voltage specification.
4. Power on, set the digital thermostat for the refrigerator compartment (+2 °C to +8 °C) and freezer compartment (-20 °C to -15 °C). Allow approximately 4–6 hours for temperature stabilization before loading sensitive contents.
What best practices should I follow when using this combination unit?
• Load refrigerated items on the adjustable shelves with spacing for airflow; avoid over-packing.
• Load freezer items with similar spacing; avoid restricting airflow around the wire shelf.
• Minimize door-open events for both compartments; rely on the digital display and alarms for monitoring.
• Label stored items with batch number, date/time and apply first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation where appropriate.
• Regularly inspect door gaskets/seals, hinges, locks, and ensure the unit remains level and the interior surfaces are clean.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If either compartment’s internal temperature rises above or falls below its target range or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature deviation, and impacted contents for that compartment.
• Transfer critical items from the affected compartment to validated backup storage until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate root cause (door ajar, ambient heat load spike, power or sensor fault).
• Once the internal temperature stabilizes within the appropriate range for each compartment, verify stored contents for integrity before resuming standard operation.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Check door gasket/seal, hinges/locks; confirm the unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean exterior/interior surfaces, verify both compartments’ fans and defrost (freezer) systems, check alarm and probe-access port functionality.
• Periodically: Review logged high/low temperature data (if monitoring installed), verify calibration of any external monitoring equipment, and maintain documented servicing/maintenance records for audit-compliance.
