Summit Compact Medical Freezer Description:
Accucold’s Summit FS30LPLUS2 Compact Medical Freezer come specially featured for use doctors’ offices, medical clinics, nursing stations, and other general purpose facilities that require more temperature assurance than a standard refrigeration unit provides.
The Summit FS30LPLUS2 Compact Medical Freezer is a compact 1.8 cu.ft. all-freezer designed for countertop use. It comes in a white exterior. The door includes a factory-installed lock and a traceable thermometer calibrated to NIST standards in our ISO/IEC 17025:2005 laboratory. It displays the current, minimum, and maximum temperature to the nearest tenth degree viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The buffered temperature probe is stored in a glycol-filled bottle to ensure the temperature reading best reflects the temperature of other stored freezer contents. This freezer is manual defrost and operates at an average temperature of -20ºC.
With reliable construction and a convenient size, the Summit FS30LPLUS2 Compact Medical Freezer is the ideal freezer for storing select items in institutional facilities. This unit can also be ordered with more advanced medical features, including a digital thermostat, self-closing door, temperature alarm, and more.

Product FAQ
What is the FS30LPLUS2 and what is it used for?
The FS30LPLUS2 is a 1.8 cu ft (~51 L) compact medical-grade all-freezer designed for countertop or small-scale use in clinics, laboratories or nursing stations. It provides reliable sub-zero storage (around –20 °C) with secure features tailored for sensitive materials.
What are the key technical specifications?
• Capacity: 1.8 cu ft (~51 L)
• External dimensions: approx. Height ~63 cm, Width ~47 cm, Depth ~45 cm; door-open depth approx. 88 cm
• Temperature capability: around –20 °C (manual-defrost configuration)
• Defrost type: Manual, static cooling
• Interior: Two wire shelves; one-piece interior liner for ease of cleaning
• Security/monitoring: Factory-installed keyed lock, NIST-calibrated thermometer with high/low readout
• Electrical: 115 V AC / 60 Hz, approx. 0.8 amps
What safety and security features are included?
Features include:
– Keyed door lock for access control
– NIST-calibrated temperature display showing current, high and low values
– Buffered temperature probe in a glycol bottle simulating stored item temperature
– Magnetic door gasket with foamed-in insulation for stable internal conditions
– Flat interior door liner and wire shelving to support cleaning and airflow
Which environments is this unit best suited for?
Ideal for small labs, specimen rooms, nursing stations or satellite medical facilities where compact frozen storage (≈ –20 °C) is needed. Not designed for ultra-low (≤ –80 °C) storage without separate validation.
Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical lead time is approximately 3–5 business days when the unit is in stock.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping is available. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia you should consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance and GST.
• Site access: ensure doorways or elevators accommodate approx. 47 cm width × 45 cm depth, and allow front clearance of ~88 cm for door swing.
• Electrical compatibility: The unit is rated at 115 V AC / 60 Hz (US variant). For Australian installations (230 V / 50 Hz) ensure you order the correct export variant or install a certified step-down transformer by a licensed electrician.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships boxed and palletized; unpacked footprint approx. 63 cm H × 47 cm W × 45 cm D; door-open depth ~88 cm. Ensure delivery path is level, firm and clear of obstructions from vehicle to installation site.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or delayed?
Inspect the packaging and unit upon delivery for visible damage. Photograph any damage, retain the packaging and delivery receipt, and contact your supplier with your order and tracking details to initiate a freight claim or arrange replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the FS30LPLUS2?
1. Place the unit upright on a firm, level indoor surface in a climate-controlled environment; allow clearance behind and above and approx. 88 cm front clearance for full door opening.
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded power outlet matching the unit’s voltage.
3. Power the unit and allow it to reach its stable sub-zero temperature (~–20 °C) before placing sensitive contents; wait at least 2–4 hours for internal stabilization.
What best practices should I follow when using this freezer?
• Load items on shelves with sufficient spacing for airflow; avoid over-packing which may impede cooling uniformity.
• Label stored items with batch number and date/time; apply first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation if applicable.
• Minimize door-open duration; rely on external monitoring and internal display rather than frequent access.
• Regularly inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/lock mechanism; ensure the unit remains level and interior surfaces are clean and frost-free.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or falls below target storage range (~–20 °C) or a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature deviation and impacted contents.
• Transfer critical materials to validated backup freezer storage until conditions stabilize.
• Investigate the cause (door ajar, ambient load surge, power or sensor fault).
• Once temperatures return to stable range, inspect stored contents for integrity before resuming normal use.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges/lock; confirm unit remains level.
• Quarterly: Clean interior/exterior surfaces; verify thermometer/monitoring probe and alarm functionality.
• Periodically: Review temperature log data (if monitoring available), confirm calibration of recording devices, and maintain documented service/maintenance records for compliance.
