The Summit ACR46GL Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator is an sized at just under 32″ high. It features a front-breathing design for built-in installation under lower ADA compliant counters, with a fully finished cabinet that also allows freestanding use. Its sealed back allows for a better fit and easier cleanability. A hospital grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug provides added safety in high traffic areas and a factory-installed keyed lock is located towards the top of the unit for convenient security. The user-reversible double pane tempered glass door provides a full view of interior contents, with a stainless steel frame for added durability in any setting. A side-mounted handle is included for user convenience, and four adjustable leveling legs allow you to raise the height for a better fit under standard countertops.
For optimum temperature management, the Summit ACR46GL Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator features an external control panel, allowing users to adjust and monitor the temperature without opening the door. Additionally, it is equipped with a thermometer that displays the current, minimum, and maximum temperatures to the nearest tenth of a degree with a readout viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit (as recommended by the CDC and VFC). The thermometer includes an audible alarm to warn users if the interior has gone out of the programmed temperature range. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a bottle filled with glass beads and secured inside the center shelf to best simulate the temperature of other stored contents, resulting in the utmost accuracy for temperature reporting. We include a pre-installed 3/8″ probe hole for users who wish to install additional monitoring equipment as needed. (Note: for this unit with a NIST calibrated thermometer, see the ACR46GLCAL.)
Inside, the 2.65 cu.ft. interior includes two adjustable wire shelves for optimum circulation, with one center fixed shelf to keep the temperature probe in place. The foamed-in-place cabinet and door liner affords added insulation of the interior for improved temperature stability, while an internal fan helps to evenly cool the interior from top to bottom. This model utilizes frost-free operation to minimize user maintenance. LED lighting helps to provide a clean, energy efficient view.
At just under 20″ wide, the Summit ACR46GL Pharmacy Medical Vaccine Refrigerator is the perfect storage solution for doctors’ offices, veterinary clinics, pharmacies, and similar healthcare environments. For this unit with a solid door, see model ACR45L. Additional purpose-built choices for vaccine storage are available in a variety of sizes. Browse the Accucold website to explore the full product line.
Note: Accucold’s Pharmaceutical Series refrigerators have been tested to operate within 2.5ºC of the temperature set point and are intended for a wide variety of healthcare storage applications, including vaccines, specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other medical, biological, life science, and industrial materials. For units with a +/-1ºC variation, see Accucold’s Performance Series.
NOTE: Accucold refrigerators are purpose-built to the support meeting the current CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for the storage of vaccines. At this time, Accucold refrigerators have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation between 2 and 8ºC. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or addition of the DL2BKit accessory.

Shipping FAQ
How long does shipping take after placing an order?
Typical lead time when in stock is 2-3 days for dispatch; transit time depends on carrier and destination.
Is international shipping available and what should I consider for Melbourne, Australia?
Yes — international shipping can be arranged. For delivery to Melbourne, Australia consider:
• Import duties, customs clearance & Goods & Services Tax (GST).
• Site access: adequate doorway width, corridor/elevator access, floor loading capacity.
• Plug/voltage compatibility — this unit is rated for 115 V AC/60 Hz (US version); verify if an Australian 230 V/50 Hz variant or transformer is required.
How is the unit packaged for transit and what site requirements should be met?
The unit ships palletized and boxed with protective packaging. When unpacked expect a footprint ~80 cm H × ~50 cm W × ~58 cm D; allow door-open depth ~104 cm (~41″). Ensure delivery site has a firm level surface, adequate entry clearance and handling equipment (pallet jack or lift) if required.
What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged or is delayed?
On delivery inspect the packaging and unit for visible damage or delay. If damage is found: photograph condition, retain packaging and delivery receipt, then contact your supplier with your order/tracking details to initiate a claim or replacement.
Application FAQ
How do I install and set up the ACR46GL?
1. Place the unit on a firm, level surface or beneath a counter in an appropriately climate-controlled room; ensure clearance behind, sides and above for ventilation; allow full door-open clearance (~104 cm).
2. Connect to a dedicated grounded outlet matching the unit’s specification (115 V AC/60 Hz). For Australian use verify whether a 230 V variant or transformer is required.
3. Plug in the unit, power on and set the target temperature within +2 °C to +8 °C. Allow several hours (typically 3-4 h) for temperature stabilization before loading vaccines or sensitive contents.
4. Verify the digital controller/display is operational, alarms (high/low temp, door-open) function correctly, the probe access port is unobstructed and the lock mechanism works before regular use.
What best practices should I follow when storing vaccines or sensitive materials?
• Use the adjustable wire shelves; avoid blocking airflow or over‐packing to ensure uniform internal temperature.
• Clearly label stored items with date/time, batch or user ID for traceability and audit readiness.
• Minimize door openings and the time the door remains open—store frequently accessed items near the front to limit ambient intrusion.
• Regularly inspect the door gasket/seal, hinges, handle/lock; maintain logs of internal minimum/maximum temperature and any alarm events if your facility protocol requires them.
What should I do if a temperature excursion or power interruption occurs?
If internal temperature rises above or falls below the required range (+2 °C to +8 °C) or if a power interruption occurs:
• Record the event: date/time, observed temperature and impacted contents.
• Relocate critical items immediately to validated backup refrigeration until normal conditions return.
• Investigate the root cause (door left open, ambient heat load, sensor/power fault).
• Once the unit returns to stable operation and the internal temperature is within range, verify conditions before returning items.
What maintenance and verification routines are recommended?
• Monthly: Inspect door gasket/seal, hinges, handle/lock condition.
• Quarterly: Clean condenser coils and ventilation pathways; ensure airflow is unobstructed and free of dust.
• Periodically: Test audible/visual alarms, external probe port and remote alarm contacts; calibrate sensors if required. Maintain service/calibration logs, internal temperature logs and alarm-event history for audit-readiness.
